Ekiti State Set to Partner Knauf for Massive Youth Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Housing

As a build-up to the Institutional Capital Forum (ICF) - 6th Sustainable Investor Summit (SIS 6) holding I n Frankfurt, Germany, from May 16-17, a delegation from Ekiti State met with the top management team of the German building and construction material manufacturing firm, Knauf, to discuss partnership opportunities in entrepreneurial development, youth empowerment and sustainable housing.
KNAUF, founded in 1932, is one of the leading global producers of construction and building materials such as Gypsum Plasterboards (Fire Protection Board, Moisture Resistance Board, Standard Board/Noise reduction Acoustic Boards), Cement Boards, Mineral Fiber Acoustic Boards, Dry Mortars, various insulation materials, plaster of Paris, etc.
Knauf's top management was led by its Managing Director, Dr. Alexander Schรผtz and Chairman Knauf Nigeria, Mr Vincent Allard, while the Ekiti State delegation, included the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget, Economic Planning and Performance Management, Mr Niyi Adebayo and Special Adviser to the Governor on Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs Tayo Adeola. Areas covered during the visit included artisan training, capacity building and skill acquisition, as well as low-cost housing
The partnership was facilitated by Caterina De' Medici Africa (CDMA), led by CEO Foluke Michael and the Advisory Board Member Abiola Adelana.
CDMA is currently driving ambitious goals towards Africa's Green Growth through partnerships, sustainable development, green economy and wealth creation.
