An Open Letter to the Northern State Governors


To His Excellencies, the Governors of the Northern States,


Good evening.


I am writing to bring to your attention the pressing issues highlighted by the recent protests against bad governance in the Northern States. The demonstrations have exposed alarming rates of youth unemployment, out-of-school children, hunger, and poverty in the region, despite significant funds allocated to the North.


It is imperative that we take immediate action to address these challenges with clear timelines and strategic plans. The Northern States require support from developmental partners who can advocate for a new vision for the region, focusing on:


1. Education

2. Entrepreneurship

3. Knowledge economy

4. Technology

5. Family health

6. Girl child education

7. Family planning

8. Real estate development

9. Branding

10. Terrorism/Banditry

11. Out-of-school children

12. Malnutrition


The recent violence and looting have shown that many teenagers in the North are angry and have a rioting mindset. This issue requires a multidimensional approach to solve the socio-economic challenges.


I offer my assistance in developing a strategic action plan to kick-start a new era of development in the North. I believe that with collective effort, we can create a brighter future for the region.


I urge you to treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.
