Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State, recently visited the Erin Ijesha waterfall for an on-the-spot assessment.

However, this move comes too late and falls short of visionary leadership.

The Erin Ijesha waterfall is a world-class tourism asset that should generate significant ROI, create job opportunities, and add substantial value to the state. Unfortunately, it has been neglected until its poor condition was recently showcased on social media by a good Samaritan.

Imagine a scenario where Osun State doesn't receive monthly FAAC allocations from Abuja.

Assets like Erin Ijesha waterfall could have been a vital source of income to fund state government operations.

However, 90% of present state governors in Nigeria rely heavily on crude oil inflows from Abuja, rather than diversifying their revenue streams.

It's time to harness Osun State's human and natural resources to add positive value to the state.

I suggest leveraging Davido, your nephew, to showcase Osun State's culture, tourism, art, and investment opportunities to the world.

I also urge Governor Adeleke to surround himself with creative thinkers to unlock the full potential of Osun State.
