Open Letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Open Letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Dear President Tinubu,
I extend my sincerest condolences to you and the nation on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
May his soul rest in peace. This open letter is prompted by the unfortunate display of disrespect and vitriol on social media, with some individuals mocking the late former President's passing.
As a concerned citizen, I felt compelled to offer advice on addressing the misconceptions about political leadership and governance in Nigeria, particularly for the younger generations.
Mr. President, you are doing well with your reforms and policies, which are long overdue for a prosperous nation.
However, some of these reforms have brought hardship to the downtrodden.
Key Areas for Improvement.
I would like to highlight a few areas where adjustments could be made:
1.The removal of fuel subsidies was intended to allocate more funds for development, but the linkage between the federal and state/local governments remains a challenge.
2 The increase in FAAC allocations has not yielded the desired impact, partly due to capacity and competency issues within the system.
3.The appointment of team members with limited capacity and competency has hindered the achievement of desired goals.
15 Recommendations for a Prosperous Nigeria.
To address these challenges, I propose the following 15 recommendations:
1. Massive enlightenment and awareness campaigns on every money going to the 36 states and 774 local governments monthly.
2. Local Government Autonomy must work 100%. Mr. President, do everything possible to action this.
3. Appoint ambassadors immediately to foster foreign relationships and opportunities.
4. Change 80% of your Ministers and replace them with technocrats and entrepreneurial-minded individuals.
5. Appoint Alhaji Aliko Dangote to head a private-driven special task force for entrepreneurial intervention.
6. Monthly brainstorming meetings with the 36 state governors and 774 local government chairmen.
7. Establish 6 massive national industrial hubs powered by the private sector and investors.
8. Change Nigeria's educational curriculum to include 70% entrepreneurship knowledge economy.
9. Establish a new stimulated funding system for entrepreneurship and agrobusiness development.
10. Nigeria Machinery Expo (processing machineries expo yearly in Lagos & Abuja).
11. Create a brand new Constitution for Nigeria with global best practices.
12. Declare a state of emergency on unemployment, power, and insecurity.
13. Establish Community Policing to enhance security.
14. Embrace eGovernance in at least 80% of Federal government operations.
15. Adopt the "Made in Nigeria" acronym for massive entrepreneurship productivity.
16. Ensure the judiciary system works and encourages judgments for corruption.
In My Conclusion.
Mr. President, if you can action the above recommendations, I assure you that things will change drastically, and Nigerians will love and praise you. It's time for a new Nigeria, and with your leadership, we can achieve great things. I believe in your vision for a prosperous Nigeria and am willing to support you in any way possible.
God bless Nigeria π³π¬
