Dangote's Driving Academy- A Solution to Road Safety Concerns.

Image
Dangote's Driving Academy-  A Solution to Road Safety Concerns. The Dangote Group, one of Africa's largest conglomerates, has faced allegations regarding the driving capabilities and licensing of its truck drivers.  These concerns have been linked to several accidents involving Dangote trucks on Nigerian roads.  To address this issue, I propose that Dangote establish a specialized driving school for heavy truck drivers. Benefits of a Dangote Driving Academy. A Dangote-branded driving academy would not only serve the company's fleets but also cater to other organizations with heavy vehicle fleets. This initiative would: 1. Enhance road safety: By providing comprehensive training and licensing programs, the academy would ensure that drivers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate heavy vehicles safely. 2. Improve driver competence: The academy's training programs would focus on developing drivers' skills, reducing the likelihood of accidents c...

The Politics of Ekiti State's Development Conundrum.

Image
The Politics of Ekiti State's Development Conundrum. As Ekiti State approaches three decades of existence, it's disheartening to witness the myriad challenges plaguing its development.  The state's infrastructure, particularly its major entrance roads, is in a deplorable state.  Rather than acknowledging the issues and working towards solutions, some individuals are quick to label critics as enemies of the state. Constructive criticism is essential in governance, and citizens' voices should be valued, not vilified.  It's imperative for leaders to engage with citizens, provide explanations, and offer veritable facts.  The statistics are stark: Ekiti State, with over 28 years of existence, has a population of less than 3 million people back home, and its socio-economic development is hindered by: - Hunger - Poverty - Unemployment - Poor infrastructure - Insecurity - Almost zero industrialization Rather than playing politics, it's time for leaders to confront thes...

A Lesson in Compassionate Leadership.

Image
A Lesson in Compassionate Leadership. The Bible passage that says, "Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone" (John 8:7), offers valuable insight into the importance of compassion and understanding, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ in the case of the woman caught in adultery.  This wisdom can be applied to various aspects of life, including leadership and personal growth. Recently, Minister Festus Keyamo has demonstrated a similar approach in addressing issues in the aviation sector, particularly with regards to KWAN 1 and Comfort.  By emphasizing the need for emotional intelligence and human/security management training for airline operators and staff, he is promoting a culture of safety and good conduct.  Suggesting that Comfort and KWAN 1 serve as ambassadors of safety and good conduct in the aviation sector is a step in the right direction.  This initiative encourages everyone to reflect on their attitude and behavior, striving t...

MADE IN EKITI INITIATIVE - THE ONLY VERITABLE TOOL FOR WEALTH CREATION IN EKITI STATE.

MADE IN EKITI INITIATIVE - THE ONLY VERITABLE TOOL FOR WEALTH CREATION IN EKITI STATE. Five years ago, I launched the "Made in Ekiti" initiative, driven by a deep understanding of Ekiti State's strengths and weaknesses. After conducting a thorough study of the state, I realized that embracing massive entrepreneurship development was the key to unlocking its full potential.  By fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, we could create wealth, generate jobs, drive infrastructural development, and provide innovative solutions to our socio-economic challenges. Traditionally, Ekiti State has been known for its emphasis on education, civil service, and politics. While these are important aspects of our state's identity, they alone cannot build a prosperous state of our dreams.  It was clear that a new approach was needed, one that would empower our youth population to seek knowledge, acquire skills, and tap into their talents. The "Made in Ekiti" initiative goes be...
